How To Add IMAP Settings In Outlook.com

Microsoft recently accepted IMAP support for Outlook.com, which is previously only meant for POP3 or Post Office Protocol. When compared to POP3, IMAP allows users to log into many different email clients or webmail interfaces and view the same emails until the user deletes them.

Configuring IMAP in Outlook.com is very easy. Just configure the below given settings in Outlook.com.

How to Configure Outlook.com using IMAP:

Incoming IMAP
Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 993
Encryption: SSL

Outgoing SMTP
Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 587
Encryption: TLS
