Elife E6 changed things for Gionee, it is a new entry in the Android mobile market. The company recently established their brand of mobiles manufacturing unit in India. Is the entry of Gionee made any big in the world of Android or it is just normal entry phone like average brands, lets find out !
Design of Gionee Elife E6 is unique from others. Unlike other companies which blindly follows the designs of big brands, they chosen the different path. The design is very stylish and uber, the handset is made of polycarbonate with matt texture gives good grip in the hands.
The back of the phone is soft and clean which gives a premium look when you hold it. The rear camera is whooping 13MP. What you get from the Elife E6 is a decent image quality, with excellent display.
Front side it has 5MP front facing camera which is a very good feature for video calling. The speaker is at the bottom along with the microUSB charging port.
Elife E6 comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The theme of the phone resemblances with iOS and the UI performance is somehow sluggish.
E6 is packed with IPS Full HD panel at 5 inches display screen. The colors are vibrant and rich and text part is crisp and easily readable. It has superb 1920 x 1080p display, which is a good feature and gives tough competition to other manufacturers.
Inside it is packed with Mediatek 6589T chipset which has a 1.5 GHz quad core CPU and the Power VR SGX GPU. It has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and the battery is 2020mAh powered.
Performance is good but the phone UI is sluggish. If you change the user interface with any launchers available in Google Play store can change performance of E6. Besides home screen the app runs very smoothly by taking the advantage of IPS Full HD screen.
The Gionee is the first Indian company to launch an Android smartphone with a new form factor. Overall it is a good entry in to the Android smartphone market with decent looks and features.
