Build & Design

Lumia 1520 looks are much similar to Lumia 720, Nokia simply magnified the 720 into 1520. Lumia 1520 body is build with single-piece of polycarbonate with robust quality. It has massive dimensions 6.5 inches long, 3.36 inches wide 0.33 inches thick and very uncomfortable to keep in the pocket. It is Nokia’s largest phone till the date with smallest nano-SIM card.

Display & Camera

Display quality has taken the full advantage of the device size, it has 1920 X 1080p IPS LCD display. No doubt it has outstanding display and very good to watch movies, play games in this 6-inch beast. And Lumia capacitive touchscreen is too sensitive and you can operate the device by wearing the gloves on. Entertainment capabilities are the pro factor for 1520. Watching movies and playing games gives you best full-size experience.

It has 20MP Camera with Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, autofocus, dual-LED flash. The 1520’s lens uses an aperture of f/2.4, along with optical image stabilization and ISO 4000.

Performance

The new 2.2GHz, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM for a Windows Phone is amazingly fast. The new processor is giving a smooth gaming experience, Asphalt 8 gives a good gaming enjoyment in 1520. However, the device supports 1080p resolution but at present no games available for 1080p. The gameplay is very smooth, and screen controls have a space to place. Overall there were no issues for appearance or gameplay.

It is equipped with features like USB 3.0, Stereoscopic 3D and 802.11ac WiFi.  So don’t expect longer battery life from 1520, if you use the device with full potential, they squeeze all the juice out of a 3,400mAh battery within 14 hours.
