Samsung Galaxy ACE 2 received the KitKat taste recently. The features of KitKat 4.4.2 are very advance and far more better than the older versions of Android. Today I want guide you to how to install Samsung Galaxy ACE 2 With KitKat 4.4.2 Firmware Manual Update, which is a Cyanogen Mod created firmware. Unfortunately Samsung not yet released the official KitKat 4.4.2 firmware for ACE 2.

Pre Requisites

  • First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.
  • Since this is the Cyanogen Mod firmware, you need to root the device before updating the device.

1.Download the Cyanogen Mod 11 firmware and Google apps package on your desktop and transfer it to your ACE 2 device.

2.Turn off the device and enter into recovery mode by pressing hold Home + Power + Volume Up buttons.

3.After entering into recovery mode select Clear Data and Wipe Cache to clear the data and wipe the cache present in your phone.

4.After clearing select the “install zip from SD card” option and then select firmware zip in your device and next Google Apps package. It will take some time to install both files on your device.

5.After updating the packages click on go back and choose the option of “reboot in normal mode” for rebooting the device normally. After the firmware update normal reboot usually take some time to start the device.

6.After the successful restart check the device firmware status go to “Settings > About Phone” to know the firmware version.
