How To Install Android 4.4.4 KTU84P KitKat Android Factory Image On Nexus 7 2012

Nexus 7 2012 owners got a good news, the official factory image of Android 4.4.4 KTU84P Android image is available on the Google Developers website. The OTA updated are available soon by Google, if you want to install before the OTA this guide will help you to install factory image.

Pre Requisites

  • First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.

Install Android 4.4.4 KTU84P KitKat Android Factory Image On Nexus 7 2012

1.Download the Android 4.4.4 Factory Image for Nexus 7 2012.

Download Android 4.4.4 Image for Nexus 7 2012 (WiFi)
Download Android 4.4.4 Image for Nexus 7 2012 (GSM)

2.Now connect your Nexus 7 to your computer and make sure Fastboot is configured on your computer.

3.Turn off the tablet and get into the bootloader mode on your device by pressing and holding the volume up+Power button.

4.Now extract the downloaded files and copy/paste files to razor-KTU84P folder to your Fastboot directory.

5.From the Fastboot directory run the following commands.

  • Windows: Run the file “flash-all.bat”.
  • Mac: Run the file “flash-all.sh” using Terminal.
  • Linux: Run the file “flash-all.sh”.

6.It will take some time to flash stock image on your Nexus 7. After installation reboot the device.

7.For the first time after update it might take 3 to 5 minutes time to boot.

8.For the confirmation go to Settings>>About tablet to verify the firmware update.
