For Android rooting is a important process to unlock the full potentiality of the device. But the rooting process is different from device to device and involves a lot of patience, tools and a PC.Popular developer geohot released a new tool called Towelroot which can easily root many Android devices in a simple way. And most importantly this rooting don’t require a PC.
Towelroot works on phones running Android KitKat and mostly on Samsung devices. Unfortunately it won’t work with HTC and Motorola phones. Installing is very easy, just go to Settings -> Security and enable installing apps from unknown sources. Then go to Towelroot.com, click on lambda icon and install the APK, and run it. It will take some time to process and reboots the device after completion.
According to the sources Towelroot successfully worked on amsung Galaxy Note 3, Google Nexus 5 and Google Nexus 7. Unfortunately it won’t install SuperSU to ask your permissions when any app requires a root access. It automatically give permissions to the app, it is a major security loop hole for the device. To simply skip this install Chainfire’s SuperSU.
To confirm the root status on your device download the Root Checker app and check.
