- First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
- Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.
- The device bootloader must be unlocked and rooted to install the SlimKat ROM..
Installation procedure for Android 4.4.4 SlimKat ROM On Moto E
1.Download the Android 4.4.4 SlimKat ROM.
2.Now connect your Moto E to your computer and make sure Fastboot is configured on your computer.
3.Transfer the downloaded files to your Moto E root of the SD card.
4.Now disconnect the device from computer and get into recovery mode by pressing and holding volume up+power button and volume down keys at the same time.
5.After bootloader menu appears on your device choose recovery option and locate the SlimKat.zip file on SD card and install it.
6.After successful installation reboot the device.
