C-ROM is developed by Android Open Source Project AOSP. It is a very stable ROM for AOSP developers exclusively for HTC One M7. This is not an official firmware by HTC, it is just a custom ROM which require a custom recovery like ClockworkMod or TWRP in order to flash the ROM zip file on your phone.

- First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
- Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.
- Install latest HTC One M7 drives on your computer.
How To Update HTC One M7 to Android 4.4.4 KitKat C-ROM Custom Firmware
1.Download the C-ROM Android 4.4.4 for HTC One to your computer and extract files on the desktop.
2.Now connect your HTC One M7 to your computer and transfer files to your SD card and also copy/paste the boot.img file to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory.
3.Switch off your phone and get in the bootloader mode by turning on the phone by pressing and holding the volume down+power buttons.
4.In the bootloader mode on your phone navigate to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory on your computer and open Command Prompt and type the following commands one by one.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
5.Follow the on screen instructions select bootloader and then recovery.
6.Here perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset”, cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition” and also perform wipe dalvik cache .
7.Now go to main screen and select “install zip from SD card”. Navigate using volume keys and select Android 4.4.4 ROM zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button.
8.After installations go back and reboot the device “reboot system now” from the recovery menu.
