How To Install Android 4.4.4 C-RoM KitKat Custom Firmware on Galaxy Nexus I9250

Pre Requisites

  • First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.
  • Install latest Galaxy Nexus I9250 drives on your computer.

How To Install Android 4.4.4 C-RoM KitKat Custom Firmware on Galaxy Nexus I9250

1.Download the C-ROM Android 4.4.4 and Google Apps package for Galaxy Nexus I9250 to your computer and extract files on the desktop.

2.Now connect your Galaxy Nexus I9250  to your computer and transfer files to your SD card and also copy/paste the boot.img file to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory.

3.Switch off your phone and get in the bootloader mode by turning on the phone by pressing and holding the volume down+power buttons.

4.Follow the on screen instructions select bootloader and then recovery.

5.Here perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset”, cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition” and also perform wipe dalvik cache .

6.Now go to main screen and select “install zip from SD card”. Navigate using volume keys and select Android 4.4.4 ROM zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button.

7.After installations go back and reboot the device “reboot system now” from the recovery menu.

For the confirmation go to Settings>>About phone to verify the firmware update.
