How To Unlock Nexus 9 Bootloader

For brand new Nexus 9 user now it is the time to unlock your bootloader. For further fun steps like install custom ROM’s rooting process unlocking bootloader is the initial step to take. Ulocking bootloader will wipe all your data from tablet. Before get started please backup your device.

Pre Requisites

  • First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
  • Android SDK with latest Nexus 9 Drivers
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.

How to Unlock Nexus 9 Bootloader-Process

1.First download all the required files and install drivers on your machine.

2.Now extract the downloaded Android SDK files and Fastboot in android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory.

3.Now switch off your device and enter into bootloader mode by pressing Volume Up + Volume Down + Power keys for a few seconds.

4.Now go to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory and open Command Prompt.

5.In the command prompt enter the following command.

fastboot oem unlock

6.Follow on screen instructions and it will take some time to unlocking bootloader. If the device dosent reboot itself enter the following command to reboot manually.

fastboot reboot

After rebooting, now you own a bootloader unlocked Nexu 9 in your hand. Enjoy experimenting with your device.
