The process involved in downloading videos on Android and iOS is same. Simply open the YouTube official app and open the desired video you want to download.

You can see a new icon for download alongside the video. Tap on the icon, it opens the available quality of the video along with the size. Choose the video quality and it will automatically downloaded to your offline videos list.
The downloaded video will be only available for 48 hours and most of the movies and video songs are not included in the feature. And the downloaded video is watchable only in the YouTube app, no other media players supported. The offline feature is available on the YouTube app for both Android and iPhone.
