To get started just head over to Messenger link and sign in with your Facebook login credentials. After logging in, you will experience a minimalistic user interface with your chat threads. You can compose a new message from the Compose button at the top right of the conversation threads or select a conversation thread to continue old chatting conversations. Or you can directly make a call if your contact is available.
