How To Replace Hydrogen OS With Oxygen OS In OnePlus 2

Many OnePlus 2 fanboys purchased the device directly from China e-commerce sites. Unfortunately, the Chinese version of OnePlus 2 comes with Hydrogen OS, it is the Chinese version of customized ROM. This tutorial will help you to replace Hydrogen OS with Oxygen OS.

Pre-Requisites

  • First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.
  • Install latest OnePlus 2 drives on your computer.

How To Replace Hydrogen OS With Oxygen OS In OnePlus 2

1.Download Oxygen OS zip and transfer it to your phone internal memory.

2.Now enter into recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume down+power buttons together.

3.Here you need to factory reset your device, after resetting go to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card” and select your firmware package.

Choose Language > Install from sd card> choose Oxygen OS.zip > Installing package (yes)

4.After the successful installation completes, go to “+++++Go Back+++++” and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now”.

Now the phones will take at least 5 minutes time for the first boot after the firmware update.
