How to Install Android 6.0 Pure Nexus Project Marshmallow on LG Nexus 5

Nexus 5 was already got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OFFICIALLY. But The OS wasn’t completely integrated to the Nexus 5 and there were a lot of buggies. Google isn’t given the fix for this, Officially. But, why to wait for google. You can do it yourself by Upgrading to the Android 6.0 Pure Nexus Project Marshmallow. Pre-Requisites

  • Make sure to Backup all your Important Files, Apps contacts, call logs and SMS.
  • Make sure to charge your phone at least 80-85%. (If the battery Drops, It may badly affect the Phone)
  • Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging.

How to Install Android 6.0 Pure Nexus Project Marshmallow on LG Nexus 5 – Step by Step Instructions:

1.Download Android 6.0 Pure Nexus Project ROM and Google Apps for Nexus 5 to your PC (Only if you haven’t already)

2.Connect and mount your device Memory on the PC using a USB connector.

3.Copy the downloaded Android 6.0 ROM zip and Google Apps zip files to the SD card. Make sure the files are in the SD card root (not in any folder).

4.Then turn OFF your phone and disconnect the cable.

5.Press and Hold the Volume Up + Volume Down and Power buttons to get into the Bootloader mode.

6.Follow the navigation instructions on the screen. Select BOOTLOADER and then go to RECOVERY.

7.When you reached the ClockworkMod Recovery window, Perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset” as shown below. Power button can be used to select everything while in the Recovery Mode.

8.Perform a cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition”.

Note: It is Good to perform a wipe of your dalvik cache. Because it will help you to avoid boot loops or any other errors. To do this, From CWM recovery, go to ‘advanced’ and then select “wipe dalvik cache”.

9.Go back to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card”.

11.Select “choose zip from sdcard”. Using volume keys to navigate to the Android 6.0 ROM zip file and select it using the Power button.

12.To start the Main part, The installation procedure, Confirm the installation on the next screen.

What about Google Apps?

Repeat the above steps for the Gapps zip file install it on the device.

13.After the installation, go to “+++++Go Back+++++

14.Reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the recovery menu.

The Nexus 5 will now boot with a bug-free Pure Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform. The buggies got killed.lol..
