LG G5 launched in India for Rs. 52990

LG G5, the modular smartphone which was recently surprised at the MWC 2016 now launched in India. The device comes with a modular design that bots a removable battery. A full metal body design provides a great look as well as a nice strength outside. Till now, the device was available in a pre-sale conducted by the company, but now is available from the direct sale.

The LG G5 sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS display which strengthened by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the top. The display utilizes maximum area on the front with a rectangular design consisting the navigation on the bottom. The edges of the smartphone have a curvy finish that gives smoothness as well as a good grip. Flipping the device, it is a unique view on the cover with the dual camera and flash placed in a unique robotic way. The camera portion bulges out of the back cover that provides a nice look on the back.

Under the hood, the G5 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The ROM can be further expanded using a micro SD card. There are two cameras on the back, one with 16.0 MP resolution and other with 8.0 MP. on the front there also is an 8.0 MP shooter with 135-degree wide angle lens. So, in the camera section, the LG G5 has clear domination.

The Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi audio module enhance the audio capabilities of the smartphone. In the battery section, there is a 2800mAh fuel tank with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. When comparing to the price, the battery capacity looks a little dull because even the devices with the half price coming with better batteries than this.

G5 sports an always-on display that will always show you the date and time information which consumes about 0.8% of the battery per hour. It’s not too much, but still consumes some valuable percentage of the battery power. For showing the date and time for 10 hours, it will drain about 8% of the battery capacity of the smartphone. The device is running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS that also increases the battery consumption of the overall smartphone.

The fingerprint sensor is placed on the backside of the G5. Other features include a Hybrid sim slot and USB C-Type connector. It is available in Titan, Gold, and Silver color options. The device is priced Rs. 52990 which is available from many online and offline stores. Users will also get a free Battery and Charging Cradle Worth Rs. 3499.
