Another Smartphone invasion from the Great Wall of China is here – the Coolpad Max with Snapdragon 617 SoC and 4GB RAM. This stylish phone with Unibody metallic design and rounded corners was launched in China 7 month back with Snapdragon 615 Octa – Core processor inside.
The operating system is not the latest Marshmallow but Lollipop 5.1 wrapped under Cool UI. It sports a 5.5 inch curved LCD with Gorilla 2.5D glass protection and HD resolution. The processor available in Indian version is slightly advanced – Snapdragon 617 Octa-Core at 1.5 GHz (may be in near future but presently only 615 Octa-Core versions are available).
The security of this phone is up due to the encryption facility. The 13-megapixel rear camera is coming with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, and PDAF fast focusing. The front camera is just 5 megapixels in resolution. The phone is with a 2,800mAh battery that can offer 17 hours talk time and 310 hours of standby time. The quick 9V/2A power adapter helps 0 to 65% charging in 30 minutes flat.
The 4GB RAM is good enough to produce good performance on the smartphone. The inbuilt 64GB of internal storage can be augmented up to 64 GB with a MicroSD card. The fingerprint scanner at the rear with this device is a bit unique in most of the comparative models.
Two different WhatsApp, Facebook and other accounts on the same devices is another USP Coolpad Max has. And the device is fully encrypted making the contacts, photos, videos and other data fully secured. Coolpad Max is 7.6 mm thick and weighs 170 grams. Coolpad Max is coming with dual SIM and dual standby. The connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port are there.
Available exclusively from Amazon, Coolpad phones are available in royal gold and rose gold colours. The price of Coolpad is not all that cool. At Rs. 25,000 Coolpad is on the upper bracket . (When introduced in China the price was equal to Rs 23,500 approximately.)
