Nomu S20 – Budget Price IP68 Rugged Smartphone for just $136

Nomu has released three smartphones with rugged features and IP68 certification. They are Nomu S10, S20, S30. The Nomu S10 and S30 has low and high grade specifications, while the Nomu S20 comes under the mid-level and got lot of attention in the market. If we look at the design of all the three smartphones, there is no much difference. All of them are designed in a way to survive the rugged environment. Also they got IP68 certification.

Nomu S20 has the dust proof, water proof, Shatter proof and heat resistant. Thus, Nomu S20 looks like a powerful resisting smartphone on tough conditions. It is packed with a 5-inch IGZO display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 cover. The screen resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. Some of the Chinese smartphones starts using the new IGZO technology in its display.

Nomu S20 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow either a stock android version or AOSP version. When it comes to the hardware, Nomu S20 carries MediaTek 637 quad-core processor with 1.5GHz clock speed, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 32GB.

The 4G LTE support is available. Additionally, it also has the support for 5G WiFi which is a new rising technology. The battery of Nomu S20 has a capacity of 3000mAh, which is fair enough to run this mid-level smartphone for a day. It also got fast battery charging support.

Nomu S20 is a decent rugged smartphone. This is not a great appealing smartphone in the market, but it has fair value for the price we pay in. The price is $136, which is reasonable for the rugged features and mid-level performance, thanks to the 3GB RAM. Inside the rugged smartphone market, surely this is one of the important smartphone for the buyers to consider, especially for the competitive price tag and the rugged features.
