OUKITEL U16 Max Release Date and First Hands On Impressions

At the recently concluded MWC 2017 in Barcelona, OUKITEL had announced the features and specifications of the upcoming UI6 Max. The latest development is that The Tech Hacker has exclusive access to the first impressions video. The handset will launch exclusively via Aliexpress on March 28, which coincides with the 7th anniversary of the e-commerce company.

Touted to ship with a 6-inch HD 2.5D LTPS curved display, the OUKITEL U16 Max is manufactured using metal paired with complicated CNC craft. Hence, the phone will look not only slim but also comfortable to touch. Moreover, the battery cover has been designed using aircraft aluminum alloy.

In the above video, the company had worked hard to showcase the core features of Android Nougat including few features that are customized by the product team to enhance the user experience. OUKITEL revealed that the one hand mode and one hand float View in a large display would be a trending feature since it provides support for functions such as screenshot, scanner, lock screen, screen record, gesture unlock, and recent apps.

Furthermore, the feature ships with a dual desktop with the app drawer and all installed apps on the main dashboard. You can also easily unlock the phone with the help of fingerprint with a password, fingerprint with pin, and fingerprint with patterns.

The phone is designed in such a way that you will be able to unlock the phone using fingerprint comparatively faster than other competing handsets. The highlight of the phone is the ability to capture images using fingerprint including answering phone calls and music playing.

According to company insiders, the phone is capable of shooting powerful and vibrant images using a 13MP Micron camera without interpolation. As of writing this, we don’t have any information about the expected price of the phone but the leaked information signals below $150, which will be highly competitive.
