Samsung Galaxy S8 Tipped To Enter Shopping Carts In The US On April 10

Samsung is scheduled to kick start pre-orders for the flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones on April 10. According to The Investor, the company is planning to start the sale after two weeks from the official launch date.

Even though you will be able to place orders starting April 10, the handsets will ship from April 21. Hence, you need to wait for a long time from the official launch date to test drive the phone although media outlets will most likely receive review samples soon after the unveiling.

Samsung Galaxy S8 rumored to ship in two display variants

Meanwhile, an undisclosed popular news portal based in South Korea recently revealed the availability of the Galaxy S8 in 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch display variants. However, Evan Blass aka @evleaks had already thrown open the Pandora box with the complete list of all the specifications.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S8 will be equipped with Samsung Exynos processor (US) and Snapdragon 835 processor (Asian), 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing shooter loaded with either 3000mAh or 3500mAh fast charging battery. According to Blass, the Galaxy S8 will ship in either a 5.8-inch or 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED display variants.

Samsung Galaxy S8 expected to integrate Iris scanner

The highlight of the phone will be the integration of an Iris scanner, which enables you to unlock the phone using your eyes. You can also expect a bezel-less display and fingerprint scanner on the backside. Moreover, the upcoming phone will be integrated with a dedicated button for launching Bixby, which is an AI-based digital assistant.

Interestingly, Blass recently took to Twitter and shared the rumored specifications of the Galaxy S8+ as well.

Blass also shared an image of the smartphone with date punched as March 29 alongside 12:23 as the time.

To recall, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at an event to be held in New York at 11 AM on March 29.
