1.First backup all your contacts, call logs and SMS.
2.Enable USB debugging mode from Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device.
How Root Dell Venue 8 7840 On Stock Android 5.1 Lollipop OS
1. Download Flash Tool Lite and install on your computer.
2.Now download Droidboots.zip file and place on your Desktop.
3.Now connect the tablet to your Desktop and run Flash Tool Lite and load the Droidboots.zip file and click on “Start Flash”.
4.After successful Flashing reboot your device to take changes effect.
6.Now run the program after connecting device to your computer.
7.Here a pop-up windows will appear, now type “Accept” to continue.
8.Now the Dell Venue 8 is automatically rebooted into recovery mode.
9.After completion choose Recovery from the Fastboot menu and enter Recovery Mode and select “flash zip from SD card” and press the Power button.
10.Here select root exploit to root and reboot your device.
11.Now run the Flash Tool once again and select the 2-510_droidboot.xml file and select “ok”.
12.Now also select the 3-510_firmware.xml file and in the end click “Start Flash”
