Amidst the sea of already available streaming services, Disney has launched its own service that caters to a large audience eager to watch MCU movies and other franchises that fall under Disney brand.
Disney Plus, the streaming service by Disney, was launched in 2019 and since then it has taken the streaming industry by storm by offering a large library of movies and TV shows including some of the best titles like The Mandalorian and The Simpsons. Disney Plus subscription costs US $6.99 per month and you can sign up for the subscription on the official Disney Plus website or app.
If you are wondering how you can watch Disney Plus, you will be glad to know that the streaming service offers its app for Android and iOS platforms. However, there is no dedicated app for PC users which makes it difficult to download and watch Disney Plus on your computer.
Moreover, DisneyPlus also offers the functionality to download your favorite TV shows and movies so that you watch them offline. This option is mostly preferred by those who like to watch movies and series while travelling. There is no limit on downloading the content on the Disney Plus app and you can simply delete any of the downloaded movies or TV shows by clicking on the ‘Downloads’ option available on the bottom right of the menu bar.
Sadly, since there is no app available for PC users, there is no option to download and watch Disney Plus on your computer. However, don’t be discouraged.
Here are some workarounds you can use to download Disney Plus and watch it on a PC.
1. Use screen mirroring
You can use Screen mirroring to watch Disney Plus tv shows and movies by linking your TV or PC to mobile apps of the streaming service. If you own Apple devices, you can also access Disney Plus content via AirPlay, the Apple proprietary technology. You can download your favorite movies and TV shows if you have the internet access and use screen mirroring or Google Chromecast to watch Disney Plus TV shows on a laptop.
2. Use HDMI Cable
Another easy way to download and watch Disney Plus on your computer is using an HDMI cable. You simply need to connect your TV or PC to your mobile or tablet via an HDMI cable. What makes this method efficient is the fact that it doesn’t require an active internet connection.
3. Use Screen Recorders
If you are desperate to watch Disney Plus offline, you can use a screen recording software or app to record the content of Disney Plus tv shows and movies. You can try your hands at different free and paid screen recorders. There are chances that free screen recorders won’t work as Disney Plus and other streaming services do not allow screen recorders or other apps to record the content of the screen until the app is open. You cannot even take a screenshot in most of the the streaming apps.
