Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231 Review-Good Looking Basic Tablet

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231 Review-Good Looking Basic Tablet

In recent months tablet market is flooding with different variations and sizes. Samsung has launched next updated version tab series Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231. Obligingly, Samsung has released a new tablet designed specifically for my needs. It perfectly fits in your hands and fulfills all your needs. The new version of Tab comes in 7 and 8-inch variants, apart from the screen sizes there’s very little difference between the Tab 4 models.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231 Design and Features

Today I’ll talk primarily about 7-inch version of the Tab 4. It weighs 276 gms and has very sleek dimensions 186.9 x 107.9 x 9 mm. First impressions are good, the device is good enough to show its unique style to Samsung fans. This tablet has everything.

The display is built with TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. You get the fastest version of Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0, A2DP and microSD slot supports up to 32GB and 8GB built-in.

The back feels faux leather type plastic finish, although it shares some design. The design is basically suites for home purpose. Since the tablet is all about the viewing experience, it has a good display to watch videos and playing games. It is fairly well for watching YouTube videos on the go.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 comes in two variants, 7 inches and 8 inches. You’ll be able to opt for either 8 or 16GB internal storage capacities and there’s a microSD card slot for adding up to 32GB and 64GB more.

When it comes to display the Samsung uses TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors. Surprisingly the display produces wonderful colors without any flaws. Even in daylight you can easily read letters on the screen, and even the screen viewing angles also great.

The user interface of Tab 4 is smart and designed especially for tablet use. The default apps – Contacts, My Files, S Planner, Memo, Browser, E-mail, Music, Video, Alarm, S Voice are looks good and also works well.

On the graphics side of things the Galaxy Tab 4 is under-performed, in each of our tests, we saw the tablet unable to compete with ta ablet like Nexus 7. The UI becomes sluggish when more than 3 to 4 programs running in the background, the performance is very disappointing.

Battery life is also very good, a full charge of the battery can give one day of daily usage.

Verdict

The Tab 4 is a really rather good tablet indeed. No doubt about it, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 good in size and function, and it did just that.
