The device comes in Android 5.1 Lollipop flavor, the OS nearly offers Stock and easily customizable. Powering the device is the MTK6735 64bit processor with a combination of 2GB RAM means you can expect good processing speeds. We used the device for 7 days to test the performance, the hardware is good and satisfy the money you spend.
The internal storage of the device 16GB and you can upgrade up to 32GB using expandable memory. The best part of the device is gesture and OTG support. You can wake, access camera, play music using simple gestures. With OTG, you can connect your external drives with a USB cable on the go.
The Cubot X15 also comes with Hotknot features, which uses NFC to communicate and transfer file sharing on the go. Coming to gaming performance, the device is capable of playing almost all high-end hits in the Play Store. The device is a dual SIM 3G and 4G capable, the signal quality is good and we did not have any issues with dropped calls or signal issues.
The camera on the device is a 16MP sharpshooter with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The photos taken with the 16MP camera have decent clarity and colour quality. The images possessed good depth and brightness levels, we satisfied with the image quality. The phone supports video recording in 1080p, the video quality is also pretty satisfactory.
