As we said this is not a phone for hardcore Smartphone usage, but it would fill the second or third mobile in hand spot perfectly. If you want separate smartphones for Business and Personal, you can make it with this Phone. Also, this could be a good starter for Kids in using a Smartphone. It doesn’t mean that it is not usable by elders and other than calls and texts. You can use all the basic and most needed apps and games. It is nothing but a smartphone that we all used a few years back. It has all the features of those old featured devices, which is still used by so many. So, this phone won’t be a disappointment in any case considering its low price. Let’s see the features and review off Leagoo Lead 6 in detail.

Leagoo Lead 6 Review: Design and Build Quality

Leagoo Lead 6 has a sleek design with the thickness of 8.2mm for a 4.5-inch screen Smartphone. This is a reasonable thickness for such small screen which took only less space in width and length. It looks good for a smartphone, but we cannot compare it with the currently trendy and modern smartphones. At the same time, no one can say this is a bad looking phone. It has a decency in look. So, you can also use this for Business purpose.

The back side has a Plastic rear cap which is made with a sturdy mould and it is soft to touch with hands. In the right side, we see the Power button and on the left we see the volume button. On the top, USB port and 3.5 mm earphone jack are located. On the left side top corner of the back, rear Camera is located with a flashlight. Overall the build quality and design, both are more than expected for this low price range.

Leagoo Lead 6 Review: Display

The Display has a 4.5-inch screen which may be a small one, but Leagoo added this small screen to balance the display quality which stays at 854 x 480 pixels screen resolution. It balances the screen density at 218 pixels per inch. The clarity of the display is much better at this screen density. IPS LCD is used as the display technology which enhances the overall performance of the display. Capacitive Multi-Touch screen technology is used in the Touch Interface. In some low priced Smartphones, this technology cannot be seen. So, overall the display is also good for this price. 4.5 inch is not a much lower size comparing to the 5 inch which is the current trend.

5.0 Megapixel camera in a $45 smartphone is a great value for money. Though it does not fulfill the photo freaks, but it is more than enough for those who use a camera for casual and necessary purposes. Also, in the 4.5-inch screen, the photos looks nice and clear. Flashlight support is available to take clear snaps in dark light. Videos can be taken at 720 pixels HD quality. The Front camera has a 2.0 Megapixel camera which can snap clear selfies.

Hardware

Leagoo Lead 6 has an MTK6572 Dual core processor with clock speed of 1GHz. In the GPU section, it is loaded with Mali-400 MP. This hardware is very energy efficient. Hence, the users can have a good user experience while using. 512 MB RAM and 4 GB ROM is loaded in the Memory. External memory can be expandable up to 32 GB using micro SD card / TF card. The battery has a powering capacity of 1600mAh which is removable. It is a good capacity for the dual core hardware.

Performance

Multitasking: Though the multitasking may lag on heavy usage with a 512 MB RAM, we can use regular basic functions texting, camera app, messengers, browsing etc. in multitasking without any issues. While using heavy load apps or games, issues may arise because of low memory issue. Dual Core processor is good in performance. Until few years back, we all used this Dual cores in smartphones. Android 4.4 OS is installed in this device. It gives good user interface. It could be nice if Leagoo gives an update to Android 5.0 soon. But, don’t forget the price which is as low as $45. For that price, this performance is a great deal.

Gaming: Because of the less RAM memory and low screen resolution high end and power games may not be compatible in this device. But, there are a lot of games still available in the Android market to feed this Phone’s configuration.

Battery Performance: For a Dual-core device, a 1600mAh battery is a good choice. This gives a battery backup for one day of normal usage. Recharge at night time would be enough to fuel the daytime usage. The hardware used in this device is consuming less energy which makes the battery life much longer. Also, the 4.5-inch screen will use less battery power for display considering its low size. Removable battery option also enables us to use a spare battery on a long journey or picnic time.

Connectivity: For Internet Connectivity, it features 2G and 3G connections using the SIM Card. WiFi is also available to connect with the fast Data transfer Internet connections. It has a good GPS function, which is fast to connect with the locations and maps. With an average speed of 10 seconds, it is connecting and detecting the locations.

This is a perfect smartphone for normal users and kids. Those who don’t need to use all the latest apps and games. Except for the high-end apps, games and heavy multitasking, everything works fine in Leagoo Lead 6. The camera is also having the basic clarity level which is enough for casual snappers. Sale package includes an earphone set, which saves few dollars more. Considering the price, this is a great deal of performance and can satisfy most of the basic needs of smartphone users.
