HTC one A9 is the youngest member of HTC one ‘A’ series. The device was officially launched in November 2015, a month ago. The first look at the device will imitate the iPhone to your mind. It has only minute differences from the iPhone 6s model like displacement in the camera and flash. All other looks exactly like an iPhone. The lower line and the curved edges, The grey metal finish all same as the iPhone. Previous HTC models have some similarities of the Apple devices, so, we can’t call this as an imitation. Sometimes, Great designs worthy to be imitated.

$499.99 is the price tag of the device, which is a comparatively higher rate. But, HTC usually producing great smartphones with these price ranges. So we can expect the value for the money. The device is available in two variants as a 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM model and a 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM one. HTC One A9 Review: Design

The HTC one a9 has a dual face design. Looking from the front, it looks like a native Android device with a clean and neat finish. But, from back, exactly look like an iPhone with some modifications. The full metal body with a smooth touch can cover the whole device without serious damages in accidental drops. For a change, HTC has displaced the speakers from the usual position to the top of the device and reduced the size to save some space. The front camera and the speakers housed to fill the upper front portion while the Oval shaped Home screen button under the HTC logo dominated the lower part. The Screen utilizes the maximum front part to maximize the visual quality and visibility.

While rotating the One A9, as I said before, an exact iPhone look, with the Grey metallic finish. The only difference is that the displaced camera and the HTC logo. The Upper and Lower portions are separated by two light grey lines as we seen on the iPhone. The power and Volume buttons are placed on the right of the device while the other side remains blank. The device is available in 4 color variants all with an entirely metallic body. The 7.3mm thickness is the diet symbol of the device and it stay’s fit.

HTC One A9: Display

AMOLED capacitive display with  16M colors dominated the front portion of the device. The 1080 x 1920 pixels can pull out the visuals inside the screen alongside with the 441 ppi pixel density. The FULL HD display is very much good for gaming and video surfing. The smooth finish with a corning gorilla glass protection layer can allow your hands flow through the surface without any gutters. The screen is sized about 5.0 inches, and it covers about 66.8% of the front part that is a bit lower ratio to the whole surface.

Camera

The 13.0MP Primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization that let you take clearer images in any severe conditions. The auto-correction technology is used in the lenses to give a noise free ultra-quality photos. Multi-modes of the camera can give more accessibility over the camera with automatically adjusting the settings as per the image to take. The Camera detects the movements within .125 milliseconds and compensates the clarity by the quick capture of the pictures.

Looking to the front, there is a 4.0MP camera that gives a decent image quality. Not explainable for this much of a costly device. But, it can provide a better lighting and noise reduction than the ordinary 4.0 MP cameras.

Performance

Looking inside, there is a dual CPU namely Cortex-A53 Quad-core CPU with a 1.5 GHz clocking speed and a  quad-core 1.2 GHz one. Both of them are integrated each other to perform well in the necessary conditions. The heart of the device is stronger as a rock to resist any high-end usages. 3GB RAM is enough to support the CPU by providing the necessary multitasking performance support in any tough situations. 32GB ROM can be expanded up to 200GB, which a big plus point of the device. Normally the devices came with a maximum of 128GB storage expansion, but HTC shown the difference here.

The HTC one A9 is equipped with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow os with some custom HTC options. This modern google os completely integrates with the hardware to express the best of it. The never disturbed performance is a great factor that boosts the popularity too. In hardware quality, the HTC one A9 is a Monster, which can fulfill all our dreams with a smartphone. It is more of what you’re looking for in a phone.

Connectivity

The HTC one A9 is capable of connecting in the 4G LTE technology that can provide a seamless surfing and video streaming, moreover the uninterrupted communications. It supports various connectivity features like Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, Radio, etc… The OTG connectivity with faster data transfer powers the data transfer from and to the device.

Battery

HTC has disappointed the users with a very low 2150mAh battery. We amazed, how can be this kind of a costly smartphone come with a creepy 2150mAh battery. It can’t even feed these monster hardware even for a single day. So, this is a small drawback of the device.

If you are looking for a Good designed well-performing smartphone, the HTC one A9 is a considerable one. But this device is not recommended to the budget lovers. As it is priced a little high, it is a little weird to the cheapness lovers. The Battery and the front camera is also a little disappointing. So, this is an average smartphone when comparing the price to the specs. You may or may not give it a try.
