  5. What you have to do first is to compress the folder before you can download it.
  6. Select the WordPress directory and from the menu bar, choose “Compress.” and Choose the ZIP compression option You can also choose any of the gZip or Tar options.)
  7. Simply click the button “Compress Files” and the process will begin. The server will save the compressed WordPress folder to the selected directory (Don’t change the directory if you want the ZIP at the same location as the WordPress folder.)
  8. Select the archive that you’ve made and click “Download” from the menu.
  9. The last thing you have to do is to select a secure location within your hard disk and save your backup.
  10. And you’re good to go!
