Samsung ArtPC Pulse Review

For a company that is still recovering from the disastrous fallout of one of their flagship mobile devices, Samsung has managed to keep its head up in the computer market segment, although their latest release of the new Samsung Combo Desktop and Speaker dubbed the “Samsung ArtPC Pulse” almost went unnoticed.

The ArtPC Pulse shares a striking resemblance with the Mac Pro as well as the HP Pavilion Wave, although the latter is adorned with a fabric covering.

Standing as tall as 10.7 inches, the ArtPc Pulse drives your music mood up with the all-important 360-degree omnidirectional Harman Kardon speakers on it. This shows that PC manufacturers are teaming up with the best sound system providers to give users good audio systems alongside powerful PCs – the HP Envy 27 All-In-One PC is a typical example, with its Bang & Olufsen sound bar.

There’s nothing so special about the Art PC which comes in 2 configurations, save for the premium sound it provides in a premium aluminum body.

The two models above all have four USB 3.0 ports, the USB Type-C port, an Ethernet port not forgetting the SD card slot and the headphone jack. They both come with the Windows 10 Home “Signature Edition” which offers a cleaner desktop and less bloatware.

The Harman Kardon speakers are separated from the PC by a bar ringed with ambient blue pulse lighting which can be tweaked – similar lighting is seen on the Acer Predator G1 gaming PC.

The Smart Pulse PC falls short of the minimum requirements for use with the Oculus Rift, so don’t expect to use the VR headset with it.

This is a quick review of the Samsung Art PC Pulse… More in-depth updates are coming soon…
