LG G7 Fit Review

LG’s G – series devices have always been great and have been doing quite well in the market with the release of more and more devices in the G – series which is the most liked series by LG, they are doing a gamble on their devices. Although the G – series was meant for performers and hence this device is another performer which you will get. But do you know that LG G7 is rocking an old processor? Yes, it was launched some time ago, and still, the new device launched by LG comes with another old processor when most of the devices in the world is being launched with the latest processors.

The LG G7 Fit was launched alongside the LG G7 One, which is a great device and was meant to rock on the Android One platform, i.e. with the most basic of the UI. LG G7 Fit is another story, where you will get great looks, and a great audio quality, wait there is much to know more about the device, and let us see the review to watch what else does the device launched by LG at the 2018 IFA boosts.

Design & Build

It is almost the same device as we saw with the LG G7 One which was launched along with the phone, but there is a slight difference in the weight which one can neglect while holding the phone. On the front glass, we have a 19.5:9 ratio display and hence the phone is a really tall one and hence you will get to hold the phone with much ease despite having the phone with a 6.1 – inch display.

Even the phone was launched in the premium sector of devices, still, the phone was not up to mark where we can get a good amount of satisfaction, and the best example of the same was the bottom bezel of the phone which was not meant to be there. At the back, the phone was limited with the camera at just one, and hence it was the traditional single camera, fingerprint scanner, and the flash unit placement as of any other device would have in the exact center of the phone.

Talking about the placement of the keys the phone has the volume button on the left while the power button to the left, we have the sim card tray to the top, and the USB – type C slot at the bottom placed in between the microphone and speaker grill. The phone gave a plastic feel in the hand, and hence that meant that you will not enjoy the phone in your hand, especially when you are investing a huge amount for the phone from LG. Another great thing about the phone is that it is IP68 resistant which makes it really easy for us to use the phone even during the rains and even around the pool.

Display

The phone comes with a display which will be rendering 1440 x 3120 pixels, this results in a pixel density of 563ppi. Talking about the size of display it is huge at 6.1 – inches and comes with a weird aspect ratio of 19.5: 9, another downside of the phone is the LCD display which will be rendering each pixel. It would have been icing on the cake if we had the OLED display on the phone, and it would have made the phone look and feel much better.

The display is made to render all the colors as accurate as possible, on the other hand, the phone even has got the best of contrast ratios and hence the display gets one of the best, and can easily be compared with the LCD display that comes on iPhones.

The display unit will get really bright in the outdoors and hence you will surely see each and every message from your phones without any excuse of sunlight. Even during the night time, it won’t hurt your eyes, and hence you can easily view each and every message without disturbing your sleep.

Performance

Running the applications behind the screen is the Qualcomm’s top of the line chipset of 2016 the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, it was a great chip and used to rock some of the great handsets. The chip is still great and comes with the support of 4 Gigs of RAM and 64 GB of Internal storage, this makes the phone rock some of the best games without much of the issues especially on the performance side.

Thermals of the phone are on the cooler side where you are going to see the phone run the best of the applications without any issue, and even the best of the games, without letting you know that the chipset inside comes from late 2016s. In the daily performance, you are not going to have even a single issue where you will have to think twice about the apps, and the same goes for the top games. The chipset is quite happy to drive all the games, and even all the different games, in all different types of the situation related to multi-tasking.

Camera

LG G7 Fit comes with a 16MP single camera unit which happens to have f/2.2 aperture while it is supported by Phase Detect Auto Focusing system and Laser Auto Focusing system in terms of 2018 the camera of the device lacks behind. On the front, we have an 8MP single camera which comes with an aperture of f/1.9. Both at the front and rear, we have LED flash assistance. Both the LG G7 Fit and the LG G7 One comes with the same setup on the camera side and hence even the performance of both the devices are same.

Both the camera comes with a great intrusive interface where you can take the pictures really well. LG has been great at designing the applications. The rear and the front camera have a great dynamic range, and the colors from the device are quite great, even the device is able to capture the details in bright sunlight and dim lighting too. You can easily take photos with the phone in all the different kind of situations.

Battery

G7 Fit comes with a 3000 mAh battery and also comes with Qualcomm’s quick charge 3.0 technology, hence you are not going to have any kind of problem with relation to the longitivity of the phone in terms of daily usage.

The phone will even have no problem in daily calls, social media, and any other daily work of the phone, and you will easily be able to drive it till the end of the day without any issue. Do note if you use the phone like a maniac for gaming then you will need to charge the phone by the evening.

Verdict

LG G7 Fit is another LG G7 One but comes in different costume, both the devices are quite great and this device will also have some added benefit from the LG’s basic custom applications. The device is great for someone who needs a device to carry out his daily needs and wants to have a good brand name going with that. What do you think about the LG G7 Fit or the LG G7 One?
