You Can Now Personalize Google Home to Call via Your Google Voice Number

We all have been using Google services most of the times in our daily life. Now, one of the most used Google services is Google Voice. With the help of Google Voice, you can call your friends in the US or Canada for free.

We know that there are various services such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger for the same. However, Google Voice gives you a number which you can call from which is much more convenient.

However, there is one issue with calling from Google Voice. The issue is that the Google Voice numbers show up as Unknown Number on our call screen. Therefore, it is most likely that the person will not know that it’s you and will not pick up the call. So, we have found a solution to this issue which you can now use to not get your calls rejected.

Note that this will work only if you are using the Google Home device at your home or office. For this, you need to set your Google Home to call via your Google Voice number. Once the Google Home calls from your Google Voice number, it will show up as Calling from Google Home rather than calling from unknown which is much more convincing for end users.

To do this, you have to go to your Google Home app’s Settings. Inside it, tap on the Calls option and select Google Voice. Now, you can check if this works by making a test call from your Google Home. See that the Unknown caller id will now be changed to Google Home on the incoming call screen.

Now that someone will see that the call is from Google Home, they are more likely to pick up the call rather than reject it straight away. This way, you can use your personal or business Google Voice number and make calls with ease
