Vivo Z3 Review

It’s quite evident by the past of the company, that they are keen to launch more and more devices that are going to carter as much as audience as possible. For most of the part, they actually try most of the applicable combinations that can be useful for advertising to any particular age or any particular possible audience.

Today we are going to review the Vivo Z3 which was announced recently. We will be having a look at the device, its design, build quality, and performance. We will also see if it stay around the said benchmark of possible rivals of this particular device.

Design & Build

Vivo has been designing devices with almost the same design cues, and that makes this one also more or less like the same device from Vivo. At the back, we have the dual camera unit which is positioned towards the top left side of the device, while at the center we have the squish – circle fingerprint sensor.

Below the sensor, we have a Vivo logo while at the bottom there is also designed by Vivo branding. On the front side, there is a small notch which houses the front camera, but there is even a small bottom bezel which looks quite a bit distracting.

Vivo Z3 comes with an aluminum build, while the front is covered under Gorilla Glass 4. The device will be available in three different colors which are Starry Night, Aurora Blue, and Dream Powder. All these colors and devices that are made up of aluminum feels like a real solid device and same is the case with the all-new Vivo Z3.

The devices are built tough and in hand feel of these devices does makes you feel that you are holding a real good device in hand. The device is a bit top heavy and that does make it a bit tough to hold for longer times but overall it is quite good.

Display

Vivo loads the all-new Vivo Z3 with a 6.3-inch display which is actually an IPS LCD panel. The screen covers over 84% of the front of the device, and this makes sure that you are having the display covering the whole front. Hence there is no obstruction while you are viewing the media at the night or even in the daytime.

The display comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and that counts to a pixel density of 400ppi which is quite low when compared to other devices in the same price range. Vivo Z3’s display comes with an aspect ratio of 19:9 which is as per the current standards in the mobile industry.

When you will be having a look at the display unit of the Vivo Z3 for sure you will be mesmerized via the quality of the panel. It can easily beat any panel in the price range, and hence for sure, you are viewing the panel with a great amount of color reproduction and good saturation levels.

Both the saturation levels and colors play a great role in the industry and you are going to get a good view over to the Medias and other things that you will be viewing on to the panel of your mobile phone.

In the daytime, you are going to be happy as the panel is bright enough and you will have a good amount of view even in the harsh sunlight. While in the night you might get a couple of issues where you will have to strain your eyes to view the display.

Performance

Vivo Z3 comes with the latest in the lot the Snapdragon 670 chipset which is one of the most capable units in the industry. The unit comes with a dual-core setup of 360 Kryo Gold Cores which are clocked at 2.0 GHz while there is even a hexacore setup of Kryo 360 Silver which is clocked at 1.7 GHz.

Assisting the CPU is the tried and tested Adreno 615GPU delivering graphics too many more devisees with ease? The Vivo Z3 happens to be featuring either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM with either 64 or 128GB of Internal Storage option.

When you will be gaming on to the device one thing is quite clear that you will have a nice experience playing the game, and even using the phone for normal daily usage. When you are using the phone for daily usage one this must be clear that you can do anything on the phone especially on the 4GB Variant but not multitasking.

It is either due to the optimization or might be due to the high amount of RAM that is used by the UI. Still, overall the phone works great and you are going to have a nice time using the phone without any issue.

Camera

Vivo Z3 is loaded with a 16MP unit on the rear which is actually the primary one while the secondary depth sensing unit is a 2MP one. The primary unit comes with an aperture value of f/2.0 while the secondary sensor comes with an aperture value of f/2.4.

On the front, we have a 12MP camera which is carrying an aperture value of f/2.2. Both the front and the rear unit is only capable to record a video up to 1080p at 30fps. A 60fps option on the camera would have been great, as there can be an option to record slow – motion and much more.

Pictures from the sensors come out quite great, and as the device looks it is one with a focus towards all the different type of usage counting to photography, processing, and other things. The images from the unit come to be sharp and have a lot of depth in colors.

Even the images in the night time are quite great and capturing either via the front or via the rear unit will not be an issue. If you are capturing selfies then for sure you are going to have a good amount of time with your group capturing the moments where you are not the photographer not coming in the view.

Battery

The Vivo Z3 comes with a 3315 mAh battery which makes it sufficient enough to be used day long without any much of trouble. Do note that if you are gaming on the device then you are going to have a bad time with the battery as it will not last long and will drain a lot when you are using the phone for gaming. If you are a social media freak and want to do as much as work as possible then this is the phone for you.

Verdict

Vivo Z3 is a great device and does prove itself in the long run. This is mostly for people who want to flaunt the design language of the phone, and need a phone with a better design. The overall performance of the phone from the gaming and multi-tasking side is quite great, and the same goes to the camera, and even the battery.
