Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Bip Lite Version Smart Watch – Black International Version Review

Xiaomi is great with mobile devices, and they are even great when it comes to other devices. Xiaomi has been launching many products under different branding and there are quite a few brands which are quite famous in China and are a byproduct of Xiaomi’s factory only.

Huami AMAZFIT is another watch which comes straight from China, and as they are not able to fulfill the demand of China Itself hence they are not launching it officially elsewhere although an International Version of the same is available on different websites in China.

Smartwatches are something that has been in need for a long time. Watches are the style factor and one does get bored of a single piece too soon, and hence he does get a new one to suit his status.

The smartwatch solves the problem as there are different dials which do keep the new feeling of the device and hence at the end of the day you have many different watches in a single one with you so that you can keep on changing the look and feel of the device.

With this, there also comes a bit of health factor, as you will not wear different machines on to you to calculate how much you walked, what is your calorie burn out, sweat, heart rate and all, and hence all these are integrated into a smartwatch.

One such smartwatch by Xiaomi is the Huami AMAZFIT Bip and it is the lite version of the original watch. This watch mostly focuses on the Health side and the original meaning of the watch. Today we are going to talk about the watch and review the same so that you can take a decision if it is up to your liking or not and if it has the best in class health equipment in the same.

Design & Build

Talking about the design of the Smartwatch, it is quite good wherein we get a rubber strap all across which does have a good quality buckle system and a couple of holes to be accommodated in each and every size of a hand. This watch gets a square dial and this does get the dial with a lot of bezels which does mean the display is secured with the bezels.

Talking about the build quality of the overall smartwatch, it is quite great and does have a good premium feel on the dial as well as via the strap. Although the strap is made up of rubber it does feel solid and premium build and hence you can trust it for at least next 2 years.

After the time you can easily use any other belt, or most probably you will upgrade for the next smartwatch seeing the reliability. Even the crown of the watch is a great one and it does have good feel onto the hand when it touches, and also the crown acts as a multifunctional dial.

Display

Talking about the display of the watch it is quite small at just 128 inches and comes with a resolution of 176 by 176. Display of the watch is really small as per today’s standard but still, the watch comes at a really tight budget.

Although the display is not big still we have really great protection from Corning as the Gorilla Glass 2, hence the screen is protected from everyday scratches and more. Do note that that the watch has to deal with a lot more and hence at the end of the day you have to be sure that the watch will get scratches and in order to deal with those you can use a screen guard which you can change every other month.

Quality of the display is quite great, and the best thing about it is that it is not a touch type one and the watch is only operated by the Crown which also comes with a touch type button on the very end to actuate selection of an option.

You can easily view the display of the watch out in the sunlight and that does help you to view the time anywhere and anytime in the day. Obviously, at the night the watch will be visible but it won’t be hurting your eyes, and hence it will be pretty much great for you to view the display then too.

Features

So a smartwatch doesn’t come with a camera, the processor to perform tasks such as gaming and more, and hence all the other normal task will be handled by the much capable one inside the smartwatch. But there are a couple of features which are must to be talked about in the review and hence let us actually see about the features with which the watch is loaded with, and we will also see if Watch is capable enough to charge the amount it is being offered at.

In terms of taking care of health we have a Heart Rate Monitor on the watch which works quite well for most of the part, but at times when you are sweating, or you might have worn the watch a bit loose then it will do fluctuate a bit. The watch does have a sleep monitoring system, and a Pedometer, but the pedometer is like others which will count the steps even in busses, and cars, and in bikes which is a bit of a downside.

Other than the Health features the watch happens to have message reminder, barometer, GPS, and Alarm, all these make the watch feature loaded and good enough to be kept against a good Smartwatch to compete. Another great thing to note is the IP rating of the watch which is IP68 and hence enables you to wear the same in any kind of weather. Watch is quite light and hence you will not feel that you are wearing something that is so heavy that you are inside a gym 24 x 7.

Battery

Watches are needed to have a great battery life, and it is a general fact. One will surely wear the watch and head toward the office, or his daily work, and won’t be looking after daily for its battery life because generally, a watch tends to have battery life upwards of 3 to 4 years obviously only if it is a branded one.

Same is the case with Xiaomi’s AMAZFIT, it is not as much as that of a normal watch but it is 25 days of continues usage, and it is one of the best in segment considering the features it comes with. Do note that if you are using the watch to measure heart rate every 10 mins a day then for sure the watch will die in the next 3 to 4 days hence wise usage is the key to longevity.
