There are plenty of styling options available in Gmail to markup the words in the mail. These styling options leave various indications to receivers to understand the words better. The styling options include fonts, colors, bold, italic and strikethrough.
Strikethrough feature is a typographical element that strikes off the selected sentence or a paragraph and the text is still readable. It is a useful typographical element that lets the users know the original paragraph with the unwanted text present in it. It is useful to find out which is not wanted but still remains in the text.
For example, this is how it looks in a paragraph:
Sony PlayStation 4 Slim is an updated version of the popular Sony PlayStation 4 Pro console. At first glance, you can see a significant difference in size. Sony PlayStation 4 Slim, has become thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Besides, the developers managed to achieve a 28% reduction in energy consumption. The console is made of plastic and has a matte surface where dust is not likely to collect, and it is less prone to scratches. Sony PlayStation 4 Slim contents a 500 GB hard drive. It is quite not enough due to the current sizes of games. However, it is possible to replace the drive with a more extensive one.
Luckily, Gmail supports the strikethrough feature directly in the style settings options. How it works? lets find out below.
How to add Gmail strikethrough feature?
Adding strikethrough in Gmail is a pretty simple process. Just open compose mail and type the email text. Now select the text you wanted to strike off and tap the S symbol at the right bottom corner of the Window. Check the above picture for a detailed illustration.
Or you can directly copy and paste the text from MS Word which is already added strikethrough option in the text.
