iPhone 11 vs iPhone 12: What’s Changed?

iPhone-11-vs-iPhone-12

Apple has released its newest flagship a while ago, the iPhone 12. Now, as always, it is time for us to compare the newer model with the older one. Did they change anything? Or is it just an improved version of the iPhone 11? Let’s take a look.

So, as we all know, Apple sometimes comes with something revolutionary in their newer models. But sometimes, they just disappoint us with just slight enhancements in the existing features. This time, they came up with 4 different models of their device as the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Display

So, the main difference in the display of iPhone 11 and 12 is obviously their size. The iPhone 12 Mini model has a screen size of 5.4-inches while the Base and Pro models has a size of 6.1-inches. The iPhone 12 Pro max has the biggest display of them all with a 6.7-inch screen.

On the other hand, the iPhone 11 base model has a screen size of 6.1-inch, the Pro has 5.8 and the Pro Max model has the largest screen in the line-up, 6.5-inches.

Despite the rumors, the iPhone 12 didn’t come with a better refresh rate. It has the same refresh rate as the iPhone 11 which is 60Hz. So, many other devices such as the OnePlus 8 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S20 has outranked the new Apple model there.

Camera

iPhones have always known for their camera quality. Ofcourse they made some changes to the previous camera setup. The base iPhone 12 and Mini models has the same camera setup as the iPhone 11 but with a Night Mode feature that works on the regular and ultrawide cameras.

The Pro and Pro Max models of the iPhone 12 has significant improvements from the previous generation with a larger image sensor and a fourth telephoto camera. The iPhone 12 Pro is equipped with the same 2x zoom telephoto reach just like in the iPhone 11. But the Pro Max has a 2.5x zoom.

Overall, the camera quality has improved a bit and the Night Mode seems much stable in the newer model. A slight improvement to the already-good iPhone 11 camera setup.

5G

One of the significant changes in the iPhone 12 is the introduction of the 5G network. The already available Android feature is now coming with the iPhones. This would be one major improvement in the cellular connectivity if your area has 5G coverage.

Price

Obviously, you are not expecting the new iPhone to be cheaper. The iPhone 12 Mini is priced at $699 same as the iPhone 11 base model. The iPhone 12 model costs $799 while the Pro costs $999. The iPhone 12 Pro Max is priced a whopping $1099, which of course isn’t that surprising from Apple.
