Instagram has a contact-finding option that makes sure you are in touch will all of your contact. It will display all of your contact list of the people who are on the Instagram app. You can also get in touch with your Facebook contacts and phone contacts as well.
Syncing Facebook Friends
Behind the successful growth of Instagram, Facebook has a great impact on it. Thus, Facebook always encourages you to bring your Facebook friends over Instagram. Therefore, the easiest way for a newbie to find people is to get connected with his or her Facebook contacts.
Step 1: Tap on your photo located at the bottom right of your smartphone’s screen to enter in your Instagram profile.
Step 2: At the top left, you will see a person with a plus. Tap on it.
Step 3: Tap the Facebook link situated at the top of your Instagram screen.
Step 4: Tap OK to confirm your Facebook login. Now, you will see how many of your Facebook friends are on Instagram.
Step 5: You will find two options- Follow All or Follow. Tap Follow All to follow all of your Facebook friends. But, if you want to be a selective tap on following one by one.
Contact List Synchronization on Instagram
You can also sync all of your stored contacts with your Instagram account. After activating this feature, your contacts will get periodically synced. Also, keep it in mind that, this app will never follow anyone on your behalf. To make sure that your app does not access your contacts, you can disconnect your contacts at any time.
Step 1: Go to the bottom right of your smartphone’s screen and tap on your photo to visit your Instagram profile page.
Step 2: At the top left, tap on the small person having a plus.
Step 3: Click on the Contact link.
Step 4: To proceed further, tap Connect Contacts. A pop-up will appear that will ask you whether you want to allow Instagram to access your contacts or not.
Step 5: Click on Allow Access.
Step 6: Tap on Follow All to follow everyone in your contact list, or you can follow one by one.
If at some point in time, you want to prevent the app from accessing your contacts, simply tap the Connect Contacts toggle again.
