Full details of Xbox Game Pass Core

After a long 20 years, Xbox Live Gold is stopping its membership service. Microsoft changed its gaming game to a new level and changed the subscription name to Xbox Game Pass Core.

To replace Xbox Live Gold, Microsoft is introducing the new Xbox Game Pass Core. This new service offers regular multiplayer support for Xbox consoles, special deals, and discounts. Also, there’s a small group of around 25 games like Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, and Psychonauts 2.

On September 14, all the folks using Xbox Live Gold will automatically switch over to Xbox Game Pass Core. And it’s going to cost the same as Xbox Live Gold – $9.99 every month or $59.99 every year.

There’s talk that Xbox Live Gold might end around September 1. A person on Twitter going by the handle Wario64 discovered this news on a Korean website. The plan is to transform Xbox Live Gold into Xbox Game Pass Core. According to reports, the new Core version will be $9.99, a bit less expensive than the current choices.

The Xbox Game Pass Core price matches the current Xbox Live Gold price, at $9.99/£6.99 each month, or $59.99/£49.99 yearly. It includes exclusive member deals and discounts on certain games, along with access to Free Play Days. Games with Gold are no longer included in the subscription; instead, a list of over 25 games is available.

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Core will access a bundle of “more than 25 titles” from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and other third-party publishers in place of Games with Gold. The collection of titles is set to refresh up to three times a year but might not include upcoming Xbox Series X games on their release days (unlike Game Pass Console, Game Pass PC, and Game Pass Ultimate).
