If you have been following the world of cryptocurrency, you would know that there is a lot of development happening. Now, this relates to transactions with them as well as even withdrawals. But the one cryptocurrency that everyone talks about is Bitcoin and rightly so because of the fact that it has soared to a record-high few years back and is still around the $8000 mark per Bitcoin.

Having said that, you should note that Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency in the world and one of the alternatives is Litecoin which is also quite useful and gets the job done. Talking about getting the job done, have you ever thought of withdrawing or doing transactions with Litecoins from an ATM. If yes then your dream has been fulfilled because of a new report.

This report reveals that South Korean ATMs will now allow you to do Litecoin Withdrawals. Also, the number of ATMs that will have this facility in South Korea are more than 13,000. As per the Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, his cryptocurrency is “silver to Bitcoin’s gold”. The Litecoin foundation says that they have teamed up with South Korea’s “peer-to-peer crypto trading provider MeconCash to integrate litecoin into its M.Pay platform”.

Now, the most interesting and useful thing about enabling Litecoin withdrawal in ATMs is for people sending money outside of South Korea to South Korea. If there is a scenario where people are sending money in Litecoin to South Korean citizens, they will be able to withdraw cash from the ATM which is of the same value as the Litecoin.

Litecoin foundation also says that “This is only the beginning of a fruitful partnership and users can expect to see more interesting collaborations between MeconCash and Litecoin Foundation in the future,” and adds that this is a “big step” in expanding Litecoin’s reach.
