The annual hardware event for Amazon was witnessed recently and a lot of new Alexa features are launched for the Echo speakers. The reach of the product is expanding and you can now connect Alexa to 140,000 smartphone devices. There are around a hundred million Alexa compatible devices available across the technology. Alexa is now also becoming more independent. The product will now be able to react without even hearing your sound. Alexa Guard will be rolling out that will help you manage your home while you are away. Alexa Guard will also listen to the sound of glass breaking, smoke and also carbon monoxide alarms. The product will also be able to listen to the footsteps and other signs of a break-in and will send you a mobile alert.
Amazon will also be offering a subscription service for dollar 4.99 per month. The subscription service is called Alexa Guard Plus. The service will help you to protect your home while you are out. If the security camera captures someone then Alexa will be playing the recording of dogs barking. Guard Plus Service will also add hands-free emergency helpline which will be run by a third party company. It will help connect users with emergency services like police, fire departments or emergency contacts. Amazon has announced support for the subscription service through a variety of hardware partners.
Alexa will also be turning off the basic functions related to your home. Care Hub has also been launched by the individuals to explain the interaction of Alexa. Alexa now also be able to delete all of the voice recordings on one command. The product will also be able to launch video for voice-driven group calls for up to 8 participants. The product will also be able to connect you with third-party video chat services like Zoom.
