An Apple analyst claims iPhone 12 will have four models

Apple iPhone 11 series

Apple iPhone 11 series

Apple launched a few new smartphones in its iPhone series last month which came in the iPhone 11 series. Similar to last year, we saw Apple launch iPhone 11 series with three different models. These were the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the Pro Max.

Last year as well, we saw the iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs and Xs Max being launched by Apple. However, we are getting reports that Apple will launch even more smartphones next year. According to one analyst familiar with matters, Apple might be launching four new flagship models next year.

While we are not sure how the iPhones will be named by Apple, we do know that one more model is coming. Now, this could well be a hint that special 5G edition might be coming next year. Because we see that Apple’s iPhone 12 series will most probably have the phones we saw this year. However, we might not see 5G support on them but a different ‘iPhone 5G’ could be launched.

The Apple analyst we are talking about is Dan Ives who is working for a research firm named Wedbush. Dan also claims that each model of the iPhone 12 series would be supported by 5G which is interesting to note. He also mentions that the iPhone 12 series will also have features such as “rear 3D sensing system” and “motion control”.

Now, the analyst also confirms one report that we already had regarding iPhone 12 from Apple. An earlier report mentioned that Apple will add one more camera sensor in next year’s iPhone which will get the tally to 4 on the back. This new camera sensor will be a 3D ToF sensor which will be used for three-dimensional depth. We also have a contrast in reports from different analysts as Ming Chi-Kuo, more reputed Apple analyst, says that only three models will come in the iPhone 12 series as well.
