Apple is known for always promoting their products in the best way possible. It can be said that each of the new Apple product ads are amongst the top 5 of that year. Earlier, Apple thought out of the box to promote their iPhones. This was by announcing a new challenge named as ‘Shot on iPhone’.

Basically, this challenge is to promote the best photos which are shot using an iPhone. Normally, we see photos shot from an iPhone being shared with a hashtag, #shotoniPhone.

However, Apple, with this challenge, urged users to share their best iPhone clicks with the above hashtag. Apple told the participants that they will select 10 best shots from the available entries.

Now, it does not matter if the photos are shot using an iPhone 5s or an iPhone Xs, it must be shot on an iPhone. The winners of the challenge would have their iPhone clicks featured on billboards and Apple ads around the world.

Also, the owners of these photos are now told to get a licensing fee as well. Apple had even announced that the participants retain the right to their photographs. However, they will grant a royalty-free non-exclusive right to the photos. Later, Apple decided to award all the winners a licensing fee for using their photos.

The ten winning photos stretch the gamut from black and white to stunning vibrant colour, from slickwater reflections to serene landscapes, and from urban cityscapes to wildlife shots.
