Apple finally did it, boys and girls. Yes, Apple has finally announced an all-new MacBook Air 2018. Even Apple acknowledges that the MacBook Air is the most popular Mac out in their entire lineup. Even then, it is hard to believe that the MacBook Air didn’t get the upgrade that it deserved. Last year, the MacBook Air got spec bump but the design was still the same. The design was exactly same as the one it had when Steve Jobs announced the original one. By dramatically taking out of an envelope to show how thin it is and lightweight too.

With the latest design change, the MacBook Air looks more like the current MacBook lineup from Apple. And this is a good thing as well. For starters, the MacBook Air finally comes with a Retina Display which Apple calls it “Liquid Retina”. Another major change is the drastic reduction of bezels from the top, bottom and sides. Also, the aluminium finish of the size bezels is gone and replaced by black ones which look better with the display. The MacBook Air is available in Rose Gold, Space Grey and Silver colour options

More interestingly, the MacBook Air is still available in 13.3-inch screen size. However, the laptop is now even smaller and lighter from the earlier one. On the specifications side, MacBook Air now has an i5 8th gen Intel chip inside with 8GB of DDR3 RAM and 128GB SSD. This means that the price of MacBook Air 2018 will also be increased and same is the case. The latest MacBook Air 2018 from Apple now starts at $1199. This can go all the way up to 1.5 TB SSD in storage and 16GB in RAM size and the price comes to $1799. The advantages you get are way more for the price you are paying from the 2017 MacBook Air so this is a justified upgrade.
