As per a new research note from Ming-Chi Kuo, it is said that there is an increasing competition among the suppliers of Apple for mini LED display chips. This competition will definitely accelerate the adoption of advanced technology in the iPad and MacBook. The exclusive supplier of mini LED chips will be Epistar. Epistar is predicted to be the exclusive supplier in the year 2021. Sanan Optoelectronics will also be supplying products from Apple in the year 2021. Previously, Sanan Optoelectronics predicted to supply Apple products from the year 2022.

Because there is a high increase in the supply capacity and the competition among the suppliers the cost for mini LED display will be quite down. The range for mini LED display was around $75 to $85. Although, now the range will be decreased to $45. The researcher also predicted that the mini LED technology will be seen in 40% of the shipments of iPads and 30% of the shipments of MacBook in the year 2021. The experts previously have suggested that it will be 20%. Apple is also continuously looking for new suppliers so that we can decrease the risk and cost of supply.

Sanan Optoelectronics will also have around 30% mini LED market share in the year 2021 followed by 55% market share in the year 2022. The market in China is also growing for mini LED. The companies which will have a high market share for mini led is will definitely benefit from it. Apple was speculated to introduce mini LED display technologies for a few months. Research shows that the company was all set to launch mini LED display objects by the end of the year. Mini LED displays are quite fun and have a rich look. They also have better contrast than the normal LED displays. However, the cost of the technology is quite high as compared to the previous LED display.
