Apple releases products such as the iPhones, Macs as well as iPads every year. However, Apple recently released a pair of truly wireless earbuds named as the Apple AirPods. Now, we are getting reports that the company is planning to release over-ear headphones very soon. This report has been published by Bloomberg which is a publication known for leaking various plans regarding Apple. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple will release their branded over-ear headphones in the second half of 2019.

Now, we know that Apple’s products are typically released in the second half of 2019. Therefore, we see no reason as to not believe this timeline. Apart from that, we are already aware that Apple acquired Beats a few years ago. This also indicated back in the day that Apple is getting serious about the products related to music. Apple’s first wireless earbuds, AirPods have been hugely successful and their successors are also planned to come this year.

Therefore, we expect to see the Apple-branded over-ear headphones soon. The report also adds that the over-ear headphones from Apple will be “studio-quality”. Now, we expect quality products from Apple so this does not come as a surprise. But it is also mentioned that the over-ear headphones from Apple might have noise cancellation. This is a feature available in almost all of the premium wireless headphones out there. With this, Apple is also aiming to compete with the likes of Sony, Bose and Sennheiser in this segment.

Adding more details to this report, we also know that these headphones will be a “high-end alternative” to Beats. We already know that Beats headphones are already quite premium in looks, design and quality so we should expect Apple headphones to be even better. Lastly, Bloomberg expects these headphones from Apple to be priced around the $350 mark.
