You must have heard that the latest iPhones from Apple were released and they have got a lot of positive feedback. However, the one thing that has not received positive feedback at all is the iOS 13 update from Apple. It has to be noted with every new iPhone, Apple also releases a new version of iOS. This year was the turn of iOS 13 and if you have followed the news of iOS 12, you would think that Apple is the best at software updates. Because last year’s iOS 12 update is considered to be the best as it improved almost every phone that it was installed on. However, this year’s iOS 13 has been exactly the opposite as there have been a lot of bugs and complaints from users regarding it.
While we can understand that there are bugs in every update, they become unbearable when they are too frequent. We have seen that there are bugs with each Android update too but they are called out when they get to a certain limit. This is the case with iOS 13 as Apple has already pushed the iOS 13.1 update. However, those who are still running iOS 13 are facing bugs and even security vulnerabilities. According to a report, iOS 13 has a bug which can give remote access of your iPhone to any third-party keyboard.
Basically, if you are using any keyboard other than the Apple keyboard then your iPhone can be accessed fully by developers of that app. While one of the most popular keyboards for iPhone users is Gboard, we have other ones too. Here is Apple’s response on this issue:
An upcoming software update will fix an issue that impacts third-party keyboard apps. This issue applies only if you’ve installed third-party keyboards on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Third-party keyboard extensions in iOS can be designed to run entirely standalone, without access to external services, or they can request “full access” to provide additional features through network access. Apple has discovered a bug in iOS 13 and iPadOS that can result in keyboard extensions being granted full access even if you haven’t approved this access.
