In some exciting news for all the iPod fans out there, Apple has refreshed its iPod Touch. The company has unveiled the latest iPod Touch with Apple A10 Fusion chip. This is the same chip which was previously seen on the iPhone 7 models from Apple. This means that the A10 Fusion chip is at least 3 years older now. But that does not mean that it is slower by any means. Because it was used on an Apple flagship once upon a time.

By today’s standards, iPod Touch will still be faster than some Android smartphones in the budget segment. Also, iPod Touch is not really aimed at smartphone users. Rather, it is aimed at music lovers and those who want to listen to music and do video calls on the go.

With the iPod Touch, you can make group video calls as well as make use of ARKit. This was not possible earlier on the iPod Touch. The previous update to iPod Touch was announced in 2016 after which Apple stopped updating this device. Now, this will be a good buy for all the parents who want to gift some tech products to their kids but don’t want them to get spoiled.

iPod Touch is a very compelling device for those users. However, the pricing of iPod Touch in Indian markets is very interesting. Because the iPod Touch with 32GB storage comes at Rs. 18,990 in India whereas the iPhone SE is available at a lower price in India right now. Also, you can also add a little more and get the iPhone 6.

On the other hand, the top variant of iPod Touch comes at Rs. 38,990 with 256GB storage. The iPhone 7, with same chipset and better cameras with LTE, comes at roughly the same price in India. With this, we will have to wait and see how the iPod Touch performs in Indian markets.
