Apple WWDC 2019

Apple, as usual, is expected to host its World Wide Developer Conference famously known as WWDC. This is the event where Apple reveals the upcoming features coming to the next version of iOS. It is similar to Google’s IO where the company reveals details about its next version of Android. However, we were unaware of the dates for the next WWDC from Apple. Though, we now have the dates for the WWDC 2019 revealed by the company.

According to Apple’s official website, WWDC 2019 will be held from June 3. However, Apple has not yet sent out invites for this conference. Rather, Apple has started a competition for developers to give them a “chance to join thousands of coders, creators, and crazy ones this summer to do the insanely great”. From this challenge, it has been revealed that WWDC 2019 will take place for 4 days between June 3 to June 7.

Also, Apple has listed the sessions which will be held at the WWDC this year. Among these sessions, there will be hands-on labs, consultations and special events for developers. As far as registering for WWDC 2019 is concerned, its ticket costs $1599. However, the tickets will be allocated on a lottery basis and you cannot guarantee a seat by just paying the sum.

Apple is also offering an opportunity for Students and STEM organization members. They can apply to receive a (free) conference ticket, lodging, and one year of membership in the Apple Developer Program. Along with the latest version of iOS, Apple will also reveal the latest version of macOS, tvOS as well as watchOS. It is interesting to see what the next version of macOS brings after the recently-launched macOS Mojave.

Some rumours also suggest that Apple could announce the much-awaited Mac Pro at WWDC this year. Similar to Google’s IO, Apple will also hold its keynote on the first day of WWDC itself which is on June 3.
