Asus is known for making some unique innovations to its smartphones and laptops. Last year, we saw Asus announce its ZenBook lineup with ScreenPad. This was a display on the trackpad of its laptops. The idea behind this was to add a smartphone-like display to the trackpad and make it more useful. Now, Asus has expanded this idea to the next extreme.
With the launch of the Asus ZenBook Duo series, we have two displays on a laptop. Yes, the Asus ZenBook series comes with a traditional display which can be up to 4K in resolution. However, there is a second display sitting on top of the keyboard as well. The idea behind this is to use this display as a second display or even make it act as an extension of the first one.
With this, you can continue to see what you are doing on the first display. Or you can have independent content on both the displays altogether. Talking about the displays, Asus ZenBook Pro Duo has a 15-inch display at the front. The second display on top of its keyboard is a 32-inch IPS panel. Along with that, Asus will also make a smaller version of the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo named as Asus ZenBook Duo.
This variant will come with a 14-inch display rather than a 15-inch one. Everything else remains the same though. Talking about other things, Asus ZenBook Duo lineup will have Windows 10 inside. It will have up to 9th generation Intel Core i7 processors and 32GB RAM.
The company has not yet announced the pricing and availability details of the Asus ZenBook Duo lineup but we will know about it soon. It is confirmed that the Asus ZenBook Duo, as well as ZenBook Pro Duo, are coming to India later this year. You should expect the price of the ZenBook Duo series to be upwards of Rs. 1,50,000 in India.
