Asus is all set to launch the latest smartphone in their flagship Zenfone 5 series and the announcement is set to take place on July 4. Also, the smartphone in question is the Zenfone 5Z. Apart from that, we also know that the smartphone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart.
To recall, we already know that Asus launched the Zenfone 5Z at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona at the beginning of 2018. Looking at the Asus Zenfone 5Z’s design, it will have a glass build, dual camera rear setup and minimal bezels.
The device has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels which is an IPS LCD screen and Asus claims that it has a 90% screen to body ratio. Other than that, the smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The device will also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage as seen on its global variant.
One more thing to add here is that the Zenfone 5Z has a notch same as the iPhone X but smaller. It is also understood that the device will have a variant with 6GB RAM as well as a top-end variant with 8GB of RAM.
The camera setup on the back of the Asus Zenfone 5Z is a 16MP + 13MP one. Along with that, we get a AI features such as beautification mode, portrait mode as well as many other features. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera which also comes with a portrait mode. Coming to the software, Asus Zenfone 5Z is expected to run Android Oreo-based ZenUI 5.0 from Asus which is company’s proprietary skin of Android.
The most interesting aspect of the Zenfone 5Z would be the pricing. It is expected that the Asus Zenfone 5Z will be priced at Rs. 35000 for the base variant whereas the top-end variant will cost around Rs. 40000 which is acceptable as it is a flagship device from the company.
