Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Can Now Run Android P Beta 3

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Display

Asus launched an outstanding new smartphone earlier this year named as the Zenfone Max Pro M1. Now, the name does not seem to be well thought of but the smartphone definitely is. One of the most interesting features of this smartphone is that it runs Stock Android rather Asus’s ZenUI.

Other than that, the price of the smartphone is also an important factor. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 by Asus is priced starting at just Rs. 11999 which is approximately $200. The pricing of this smartphone is also better than Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro if we compare the features.

Now, Asus has already attracted many customers due to its pricing and features and the sales of this smartphone are pretty strong. To add to this, one more interesting development has come for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. One of the developers has ported an unofficial but working ROM for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Now, we know that ROMs are available for most of the smartphones so it is not new. However, this ROM is an unofficial port of Android P Beta 3 so you can now run the next version of Android on your Asus smartphone.

One thing to note here is the fact that you need to be rooted for this ROM to be installed on your device. Also, this ROM has been given an alpha/beta status so you should be skeptical about installing this ROM on your daily driver. This is because known bugs have also been published by the developer.

On the other hand, the things that are working have also been posted. This includes RIL, Dual 4G, Audio, WiFi, Hotspot, LTE and other basic activities. This means that you should not have any problems if you want to try out Android P as basic stuff is working. However, it is not advised to run this ROM for a long time on your device.
