While there is a virus outbreak all over the world and the Coronavirus has also been declared as a pandemic, we have seen that everything has been postponed or cancelled and that includes sports as well.

Now, we know that the biggest events in sporting history are the Olympics where all the athletes playing all kinds of sports compete under one roof and take home some medals.

However, the Coronavirus pandemic is such that even the Olympics which was going to take place in Tokyo later this year has been postponed to next year.

While it is too early to say anything, there are reports that the Tokyo Olympics to be held next year are also in doubts at the moment. This is because of the travel restrictions put in place as well as a reported second wave of the virus in many countries where the virus was taken under control.

But as we say that things must go on, the same is the case with the Olympics as they have also been held virtually.

Although this is not official in any way, there is a virtual event being held where athletes will play “Forza 7” which is a motorsport game. As per the announcement, “35 athletes representing 11 countries will get together for some competition in Forza Motorsport 7 on May 30th and an award ceremony that will be hosted in Minecraft.

The Special Olympics Twitter account has revealed that “We’re excited to announce the 2020 Special Olympics @Xbox Virtual Gaming Event featuring @ForzaMotorsport, in partnership with @Microsoft!”.

The great thing about this event is that it will also be a fundraiser for helping in the various activities related to the present conditions. Microsoft has said that donations will be accepted as Rewards donations and they will match the funds that have been raised during the event.
