As we have seen many times in the past, Internet users are a very weird bunch of people. There are apps and websites that have been made viral which should never have been.

And you are wondering how exactly did they go viral. Well, this is the power of the internet which the maker of FaceApp app is currently enjoying.

You must have seen a ton of selfies and photos of people, even famous celebrities, posted on the Internet since yesterday. All of these photos would have one thing in common, they will be showing an old man or women with a greasy face and white hair.

This is exactly what FaceApp has gone viral for. FaceApp is basically an app which lets you see how you will look in old age. And people have started to upload their selfies to see how they will look and post them on socials.

However, people have now started to take advantage of this trend. As there are already many apps which are clones of the original FaceApp app which is developed by a Russian developer.

If anyone interested to try the new sensational and viral Faceapp, then you must be cautious what you exactly installing on your device. Many of these replica apps are developed by unknown developer and other countries. These apps don’t have strict privacy policies and you may end up with giving permissions to your personal photos to the others.

There are apps such as AgingBooth and Oldify which are already earning huge money from Apple’s App Store. These have already become the most downloaded apps on respective Android and iOS app stores.

Along with FaceApp which is free, they are already doing wonders. While Oldify costs $0.99, the other two apps are free but you give them your photo and names which is invaluable data.

There is also an app on the Apple App Store named Faceapp! which has the same icon as FaceApp. This app goes against Apple’s policy of “copycat” apps but it is still there.

Coming back to Oldify, it is the top-grossing app on the App Store for iOS with more than 330,000 downloads just last week.
